A Guide To All (Current) Amazon Devices

Amazon isn’t only an online marketplace anymore. The company also makes and offers a large variety of electronic devices that are entirely Amazon-produced! All of these are offered and sold through Amazon.com along with offerings from other brands. 

Each device comes with its own functions and features, so it can be a little tricky to figure out which is right for you, or even what they are capable of. So we’ve gone ahead and made this helpful guide to Amazon-owned devices and some of their usage cases.

We’ve categorized the devices into product types below. Note that most Amazon devices come in different versions, but we’ve only listed the most relevant device models in this guide.

Echo and Alexa Devices

Echo

The Echo speaker is an amazing smart-device that connects you to Alexa, your own virtual assistant. The Echo can hear you from any direction as well as play music and communicate with you through its high quality, dual speaker system.

A small and compact speaker, with surprisingly vibrant sound, that is a perfect way to add Alexa to any room.

The Echo Dot devices are extremely affordable and leave a small footprint, making it a perfect way to install Alexa throughout your whole house! Put an Echo Dot in each room and have access to your favorite personal assistant no matter where you are in the house!

2. Echo Dots can be linked to other speakers within the same network in any combination, so you can have music playing throughout the whole house or any group of rooms you choose. You can also send messages between rooms with the Echo Dot.

Echo Plus

Echo Plus boasts a premium sound quality and a built-in hub for controlling all your smart-home devices.

1. The Echo Plus can be set up with the home security feature, Alexa Guard. Alexa Guard will alternate the turning on and off of the selected smart lights within your house while you are away. This is an excellent built-in home security feature that you can use right away! Echo Dot Kids

This family-friendly, kid-safe, and customizable version of the Echo Dot will give your children appropriate and limited access to the capabilities of the Alexa assistant.

The Fire 7 is the cheapest of the Amazon Fire Tablets, but that is mostly linked to the fact that it does not have an HD screen or a very high-quality camera, aside from that, it will get the job done for most needs.

Fire HD 8

A fully HD personal tablet that has satisfied customers for years.

Fire HD 10
